Android Auto
This receiver also features Android Auto, which extends the Android platform into the car in a way that’s purpose-built for driving. Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into simple cards that appear just when they’re needed. It’s designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Android Auto is compatible with Android phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later. Android Auto may not be available on all devices.
Back up camera input (2-camera)
This back up camera input enables you to add a rear-view camera, with the system automatically switching to a full-screen image of the rear view when the car is placed in reverse gear. The full-screen image returns to the source screen last in use when the vehicle is taken out of reverse gear. *Rear visibility systems (backup cameras) are required under federal regulations in certain new vehicles according to a phase-in schedule that began on May 1, 2016. Owners of vehicles equipped with compliant rear visibility systems should not install or use this product in a way that alters or disables that system’s compliance with applicable regulations. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has a rear visibility system subject to these regulations, please contact the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.
Apple CarPlay
This receiver features Apple CarPlay, the smarter, safer and more fun way to use your iPhone® in the car. Apple CarPlay gives iPhone users an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music, and verbally send and listen to messages with just a word or a touch. Apple CarPlay requires iPhone 5 device or newer with the latest version of iOS.

With a Pioneer NEX in-dash receiver, sound quality features like built-in EQ and Time Alignment, 13-Band Graphic Equalizer with touch panel swipe settings and built-in high/low pass crossover with adjustable points and slopes provide you with the controls to tailor the listening experience to your vehicle and listening preferences.

HD Radio
This receiver features a built-in HD Radio™ tuner, which allows you to enjoy your radio in an all-new way. Your FM stations now with near CD-quality sound (on single channel stations), AM stations now in stereo and sounding like FM stations, and crystal-clear reception with no audio distortion. Hi-res audio file playback via USB
Enjoy High-Resolution Audio music playback just as the musicians intended with higher than CD quality. With the Pioneer NEX Receiver you can play up to 5.6 MHz DSD (Direct Stream Digital) files, and up to 192 kHz/24-bit WAV and FLAC files from an MSC formatted USB device.
Siri® Eyes Free - touchscreen
Simply touch a NEX touchscreen and Siri listens through the NEX unit's external microphone and answers requests over the vehicle's speakers, helping you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel, for select iPhones.
Hands free Bluetooth
This NEX Receiver makes hands-free phone calls simple. Pioneer’s included external microphone provides crystal clear sound. Stream music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more from your compatible phone or other Bluetooth® devices.
FLAC
Your love of high-res audio does not need to stop at the front door. Enjoy FLAC files in your vehicle without the need to convert. Pioneer's NEX in-dash receivers were the first in the industry to offer playback of files encoded as high-res FLAC up to 192kHz/24 bit and provide playback output at CD quality. With Pioneer, your high-res FLAC is no longer confined to your home hi-fi system - put your music on the move.
Time alignment-no microphone
This feature allows for delay time and synchronizing from each speaker to be adjusted to correct any phase mismatches in the sound resulting from the listening position. Does not include the CD-M20 microphone.
CarAVAssist
CarAVAssist This in-dash receiver is compatible with the CarAVAssist App, which supports home screen customization and other functions. You can bookmark websites that you want to enjoy in your car while parked, register your favorite sports teams to receive real-time game updates, make notifications settings for your smartphone, and more. The app also allows you to customize your receiver's home screen, including adding your own background image and easily performing OTA Firmware Updates. Wireless connectivity
This receiver supports a cable free connection between your smartphone and the receiver using Wi-Fi® wireless connectivity. Now compatible with both Android Auto Wireless (available on Google Pixel and Nexus devices)¹ and Android Auto over USB, the receiver makes it easier than ever to connect. Android Auto¹ makes it easier to access your favorite navigation, media and communication apps on the road while minimizing distractions. Compatibility with Apple CarPlay supports connecting to an iPhone® device using either a wireless connection or a wired USB connection. Now you no longer need to worry about taking your smartphone out of your bag or your pocket before you get into your car. Additional fees may apply.

Floating display
The all new floating display configuration allows a large display to be installed using a universal 1-DIN chassis. The floating screen offers horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustability to ensure the best fit and usability in the vehicle's dash.
