What is Pioneer P.R.O.
In the early 2000s, an SPL competition called “dB drag racing” became popular in the U.S. By 2003, there were approximately 10,000 competitors, with winners achieving around 150dB. Pioneer broke the world record in 2004 by reaching 173.0dB and renewed this title the following year with an impressive 180.5dB!
Around 2005, under the sponsorship of the IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association), an emerging SPL competition called OPEN SHOW was introduced with great success. The acronym for Pioneer P.R.O. (Pioneer Reference for Open Show) for our dedicated products comes from this designation.
Now, it's a trend that can also be enjoyed casually outdoors, whether partying or tailgating at your favorite sports event.
